Microsoft Windows 11 is now officially available for download. Windows 11 is a free upgrade for any device running Windows 10. It is provided through Windows Update in the same way that Windows 10 updates were previously made available. According to Microsoft, the Windows 11 upgrade for Windows 10 users should be available “by mid-2022” on all devices.
If your PC or laptop meets the minimum hardware requirements – click here to check that your laptop has the necessary hardware to run Windows 11 – then you should expect Windows 11 to be available as an update in the coming weeks. To check if Windows 11 is available on your device, do the following:
- Open on your Windows 10 PC settings.
- Now go to Update & Security → Windows Update.
- Click on Check for updates.
- If Windows 11 is available for download for your Windows 10 device, you will be presented with an option to download and install it.
