- People in the US who own a Galaxy S20 or Galaxy Note 20 phone can now try the One UI 4 Beta.
- This is the first beta for these phones in the US and is based on Android 12.
- If you are not familiar with betas, you will have to wait until January / February 2022 for the stable launch.
Fortunately, Samsung is currently rolling out One UI 4 Beta for these phones in the US (via SamMobile). When you’re confident enough to test unfinished software, you can apply to download the beta version through the Samsung Members App. Just open the app on your phone and find the banner advertising the beta program. You may have to close and open the app a few times to view it.
Keep in mind that there are usually a limited number of beta registrations. If this is really what you want, we encourage you to get started as soon as possible.
One UI 4 brings all of the Android 12 updates that are built into the standard operating system. It also brings new Samsung-exclusive features as well as updates to existing Samsung features. You can see what to expect in our hands-on with the beta.
If you don’t like using beta software (which is totally understandable), Samsung has already committed to a stable launch schedule. Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 owners can expect the stable launch of One UI 4 to take place in January and February 2022. That’s a bit of a wait, but it might be worth it if you don’t want to deal with bugs and missing features.
