We imagine that some of you may have several smart speakers installed in your home. For example, you could have one in the living room to control the lights and music in the living room, another in your kitchen, and another in your bedroom.

According to Amazon’s latest update to its Alexa digital assistant, one of the new features they introduced is the ability for users to stream music from one Alexa-enabled speaker to another. This means that when you play music on your living room smart speaker, you pause it and play it on another device, e.g. B. in the bedroom, can continue.

According to Amazon: “Since the beginning of this year, customers have been using Alexa-enabled devices to listen to billions of hours of music, radio and podcasts. Now it’s even easier to take your music, podcasts or radio stations with you wherever you go – just ask Alexa to move your content to your chosen Echo device so you can pick up where you left off. “

All Alexa users need to do is say “Alexa, pause” to the device that is playing music, and then, when they are near the other device, say, “Alexa, resume music”. It’s a quality of life improvement that helps make playback between multiple devices seamless. So if you own multiple Alexa-enabled speakers, this might be worth checking out.
