Given that one of the AirPods selling points is its tight integration with iOS devices like the iPhone, thanks to its quick and easy pairing, many expected the company to have announced the third generation AirPods at the iPhone event. Obviously that didn’t happen, which begs the question, when can we count on the device now?
For those in dire need of an upgrade, you might be interested to know that a report from DigiTimes revealed that the company still plans to get it to market by the end of the year.
Rumor has it that Apple is planning another event this month that is expected to showcase new MacBook Pros as well as an updated version of its M1 chipset for true wireless headphones.
Alternatively, the company could just launch it through the Apple Store without fanfare, but one way or another we’ll have to pay attention to it. The AirPods 3 have been rumored to have a new design to look like the AirPods Pro, with a shorter stem, a universal tip design, and a more compact wireless charging case.
