Apple was pretty sure when they said the AirTag wasn’t designed for tracking children or pets, but ultimately, the AirTag is really just a tool and it’s up to us how we want to use it. If you think this is a great way to track your pets, you’ll be delighted to learn that ElevationLab has announced an AirTag holder that fits on pet collars.
Called TagVault: Pet, this is essentially the TagVault, except that it can now be used with collars that you can use to attach your pet. The TagVault itself is waterproof. So, if you own a dog who loves jumping and swimming in the water, there is no need to worry about damage as the AirTag is locked in and sealed in.
It also seems to take up a relatively small footprint so your pet can wear the collar and not really notice the AirTag there. ElevationLab also designed it for use with a variety of collars and straps up to 5mm thick. This means it should work with most collars out there, with the exception of double leather.
If you’re interested in ElevationLab’s TagVault: Pet, it costs $ 20 for a single unit, $ 35 for two units, and $ 65 for a four-pack, and can be ordered through the company’s website.
