When you pull out your smartphone to take a picture, you expect a certain result. Sometimes this result can be achieved without great effort, sometimes you can get very close with a few small adjustments to the software and sometimes telephone cameras are completely too short. It all depends on which company makes your smartphone, the quality of the camera hardware, and how your smartphone handles the post-processing.

Some companies have the point-and-shoot method of taking photos. Take a picture, wait for the post-processing to work, and make sure the results are at least acceptable every time. Of course, not everyone will enjoy this experience. You could miss that one perfect shot by getting a dozen “good enough” photos.

Alternatively, some smartphone cameras require a little more work on the user side. You may have to do more work adjusting the exposure, ISO, or other items, but the results could make for an all-round great photo. Again, some people might just want to snap a photo and move on without making too much of a fuss.

It would be nice if we could get consistent photos out of our smartphone cameras every time, but that’s just not the world we live in. So if you had to choose between taking good photos every time or taking great photos less consistently, which one would you choose? Do you appreciate this one or two? Perfect Photos, or is good enough good enough for you Please vote in the poll above and leave us in the comments if there is anything you want to add.
