Up to date Razer Huntsman V2 keyboard with new switches and TKL choice

Razer introduced the Huntsman mechanical keyboard back in 2018. This was Razer’s first mechanical keyboard with opto-mechanical switches, which they claim are faster compared to more traditional switches, but offer the same feel as a regular mechanical keyboard.

If you’re looking for a new keyboard, you’ll be delighted to learn that Razer has since announced an updated lineup in the Huntsman V2. According to Razer, some of the changes we can expect are second generation optical switches, Razer 8K and HyperPolling technology, and the use of double-shot PBT keycaps that last longer.

According to Razer, some of the changes to the switches include the use of a silicone muffler that will help reduce the “click” of a switch. They claim to have introduced a more generous amount of lubrication to improve smoothness and reduce noise on both the switches and the stabilizers.

Last but not least, Razer will also offer a TKL version of the Huntsman V2 that dispenses with the number pad. So if you rarely or never use this, this could save space. The Razer Huntsman V2 costs $ 190 for the full-size version and $ 150 for the TKL version.
