For the longest time ever, Bose’s QuietComfort series has been one of the best noise-canceling headphones options, but then Sony hit the market with its WH-1000XM series and somehow leveled the playing field, although some might argue that they do they have since usurped the position of Bose.
That being said, Bose appears to be planning a comeback as it looks like the company is completing its next pair of noise-canceling headphones in the form of the QuietComfort 45, the successor to the QuietComfort 35 II, according to an FCC filing. Not much is known about the headphones right now, but it seems Bose isn’t changing the design too much.
However, we expect that they will likely make some under-the-hood changes to improve audio, battery life, and noise cancellation so they may be a better fit with Sony’s latest WH-1000XM4s. However, we are curious what this means for the Bose Headphones 700, which have been viewed by some as the spiritual successor to the QuietComfort 35 II.
Anyway, if you’re a fan of Bose, perhaps these QuietComfort 45s could be a pair of headphones to look out for at any launch. So check back soon for more updates.
