Some of you may be familiar with Arlo and its home security camera and video doorbell kits. Because Arlo’s products are HomeKit compatible, users can expect certain things about viewing videos, storing them, and more. In case HomeKit doesn’t meet your needs, Arlo has announced new subscription plans.
There will be two options for users to choose from. These include Arlo Secure and the more expensive Arlo Secure Plus. They cost $ 9.99 and $ 14.99 per month, respectively, and give users access to more features beyond what HomeKit offers and supports. This includes recording and storing videos in the cloud with 2K and 4K resolution.
This can be useful as in case you need to access older footage, it’s better to save it at a higher quality if you want to see more detail. There are also features like object recognition, which uses AI to identify things like parcels, people, and vehicles, as well as emergency services, where rescue workers can check if users need fire, police, or medical services.
If you are new to the Arlo ecosystem, please note that new Arlo purchases come with a three-month free trial of Arlo Secure Plus. This might be a great way to try out the service before deciding whether to subscribe.
