Based on everything we know about the upcoming Apple Watch Series 7, the biggest changes will be the design. Apparently, no new health sensors are being introduced into the model. We may see improvements to the existing sensors, but otherwise we shouldn’t expect anything new.
If you’ve been hoping for new sensors, you might want to keep an eye out for the Apple Watch Series 8. This is what analyst Ming-Chi Kuo says, who claims the Series 8 model is expected to come with new health features, such as a body temperature sensor.
If this sounds familiar, it’s because we had heard a similar report just last week that the Series 8 might have a body temperature sensor that could help with fertility planning. It was also rumored that the Series 8 could come with a blood pressure monitor. There was no mention of a blood glucose sensor, but there’s a good chance we could wait a while for it.
This doesn’t mean the Series 7 is going to be a bad watch. It will do everything that the previous models can, but in a new design. If you haven’t upgraded in a while, it could still be a worthwhile purchase. In any case, we should have more details next week. So be sure to stop by for more updates on September 14th during the Apple event.
