When Apple first announced the Apple Watch Series 7, they didn’t say when the watch would be available. This seemed in line with previous rumors pointing to production issues and delays that could affect the availability of the watch. Recently there was a rumor from Jon Prosser that the device could be shipped from mid-October.
If so, it means pre-orders should be made beforehand, and now we know when that could be. According to a report by AppleTrack, Hermes has apparently sent emails to its customers informing them that the device is expected to be available for pre-order on October 8th.
Why from Hermes, you ask? In case you didn’t know, Hermes and Apple have worked together on Apple Watch bands in the past. We haven’t heard of the partnership breaking up, so it stands to reason that Hermes could continue to make Apple Watch bracelets for the Series 7 and that they may have been given pre-order dates so they can prepare their bands.
None of this is official, of course, and we’ve seen companies jump guns before, so maybe don’t get your hopes up just yet, but we should have more details next week.
