A few weeks ago it was reported that the production of the Apple Watch Series 7 was having problems. The good news is that analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has issued a notice to investors that Apple has apparently resolved the production problems and that mass production is expected to begin in mid-September.
What does this mean for customers who want to grab the watch? It was previously reported that the Series 7’s availability could be limited at launch, and we broadly believe that this is still the case. This is because the time it took Apple to fix the production issues caused a delay, albeit a brief one.
This means that mass production will begin in mid-September, when the watch is announced, also means that bulk deliveries to stores and retailers will come later than previously expected. It’s hard to say how much this could affect customers, but it is possible that certain configurations and options are more limited than others so we’ll just have to wait and see.
The Apple Watch Series 7 is expected to be announced on September 14th, next week. So be sure to check back with us for more information on the details of the watch, prices and availability.
