- New alleged spy images of the Huawei Watch 3 series have been leaked.
- The recordings show Harmony OS, including the home screen and the notification screen.
- Huawei will launch the Watch 3 series later this week.
The Huawei Watch 3 series is set to make its big debut alongside Harmony OS later this week. But shortly before the start, a new set of alleged spy images of the clocks emerged.
The publication discovered by ITHome states that “a number of digital bloggers” have published apparent snapshots of the Huawei Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro in an offline shop. However, the original “netizen” source is not cited.
Still, the spy footage shows some interesting features. For one, Huawei will appear to be keeping the round face of the previous Watch GT 2 line, but only using a rotary knob on the top right. There is a second flat button underneath. Overall, it makes for a slimmer facade.
We also get a glimpse of the rumored packaging with its “Powered by Harmony OS” badge. The operating system itself can apparently also be seen on the clocks. The start screen is visible all at once and contains the time, date and direct links to apps. In another, the notification shade is visible, which draws attention to missed calls and WeChat messages. Another recording also shows the watch taking a reading, possibly for SpO2.
We’re not looking at the Apps menu, so there’s no way to compare it to previous UI leaks. Even so, Harmony OS doesn’t seem to be bringing much visual differences to Lite OS on the watches. An alleged perk could be the availability of more apps – something previous Huawei watches have sorely missed.
Huawei will introduce the Watch 3 series along with its new operating system on June 2nd. So expect more specific details to become known later this week.
